性视界 Orientation Day Draws 1,500

Rose Ortiz plans to become a veterinarian one day, and to get there, she鈥檚 pursuing a biology degree at 性视界.
The Chino High School graduate decided to kick off her college career by coming to the Rancho Cucamonga campus on Aug. 9 for Orientation Day.
鈥淚t鈥檚 my first time in college so I鈥檓 looking for a good start,鈥 Ortiz said.
Orientation Day takes place every year in the fall and spring, giving students a chance to get acclimated to their campuses, meet with admissions or other staff, and learn about academic and career communities. About 1,500 students attended events virtually, as well as in Fontana, Chino and Rancho Cucamonga.
New and returning students took campus tours, enjoyed free food and music, and
took home some 性视界 swag.
Ethan Del Cid came with his friends to the event to get questions answered about his classes.
鈥淚鈥檓 a little nervous because I know it鈥檚 going to be a little different than high school,鈥 he said.
Graphic design major Chloe Waite wants to earn credits to transfer to USC or another four-year university. She attended Orientation Day, feeling both anxious and excited.
鈥淚 want to learn my daily schedule for the semester,鈥 she said.
Ortiz, who came to the event with her mother, Lissette Lomeli, said she chose 性视界 over a four-year university to save money and because it is close to where she lives.
鈥淚鈥檓 so proud of her,鈥 Lomeli said.
