Take the First Step!

  1. Attend an Information Session.

    It鈥檚 the best way to ask questions and understand what鈥檚 ahead!

    Here鈥檚 what you鈥檒l learn:

    • Why our program is accredited and why that matters
    • How students perform on the NCLEX licensing exam
    • Job opportunities after graduation
    • What courses you need to take before applying
    • How the selection process works (including multi-criteria screening)
    • What the program costs and financial options available
    • What the classes and weekly schedule look like

    Note: These sessions aren鈥檛 recorded, so be sure to attend live鈥攅ither in person or online!

  2. Become a 性视界 Student.

    If you鈥檙e new or returning to 性视界, here鈥檚 what you need to do to get started:

    For New Students:

    • Complete the online 性视界 Application
    • Receive your 性视界 Student ID number via email (usually the same day)

    For Returning Students:

    • You do not need to reapply
    • Simply reactivate your student account if needed
    This ID number is important because it鈥檚 your key to accessing college services, registering for classes, and more!

  3. Submit ALL official college/university transcript(s).
    For courses completed at another college, students MUST submit official transcripts to the 性视界, Admissions & Records Department in one of the three options listed below:
    • Electronically (preferred):

      Students may order their electronic transcripts from to be sent to transcripts@chaffey.edu or via any other official electronic web source.

    • In-person: Students may drop off sealed, official transcripts to one of the Admissions & Records Departments located on the Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, or Fontana campuses during regular business hours.
    • U.S. Postal Service: Students may mail their official transcripts to the following address:

  4. Submit official high school transcripts to 性视界鈥檚 Admissions & Records.

    All students must verify their U.S. high school graduation or equivalent by submitting one of the following to 性视界鈥檚 Admissions & Records Office:

    • Official high school transcripts
    • GED certificate
    • Certificate of equivalency or proficiency
    • Official international transcript evaluation report (for students who completed high school outside the U.S.)

    How to Submit Transcripts:

    • Electronic transcripts:
      Send via email to transcripts@chaffey.edu using or other official electronic services.
    • In-person:
      Drop off at the Admissions & Records Office (see address on the webpage).
    • By mail:
      Send official transcripts through U.S. postal mail (address listed on the Admissions & Records Office webpage).

    For Students Who Completed High School Outside the U.S.:

    • You must submit a separate transcript evaluation from an external agency to verify equivalency to 性视界鈥檚 Admissions & Records Office.
    • You are responsible for the fees associated with this evaluation.
    When requesting the evaluation, please select a 鈥渄etailed evaluation.鈥

     

    性视界 recommends using the SpanTran Agency.

    The following agencies are also approved by 性视界鈥檚 Admissions & Records Department. If you do not see the agency that you used to evaluated your international transcripts, please contact Admissions & Records.

  5. Meet with a 性视界 Counselor

    Meeting with a counselor is a key step in preparing for the ADN program. A counselor can help make sure you鈥檙e on the right track and fully prepared to apply.

    A Counselor Can Help You:

    • Review your external transcripts (from other colleges or high school)
    • Create or update your Educational Plan
    • Make sure you're meeting ADN program prerequisites
    • Guide you through the ADN application process

    How to Make an Appointment:

    Visit the Academic and Career Counseling website to schedule a counseling session.

Looking ahead

Before your counseling appointment, it鈥檚 important to review the ADN program prerequisite coursework so you know where you stand and what鈥檚 needed.

What Happens After You Complete Your Prerequisites:

  • If you're eligible to apply, your application will be reviewed using the ADN Multi-Criteria Screening Worksheet
  • This tool helps rank applicants based on a point system in areas like:
  • Academic performance (e.g., GPA, coursework)
  • Healthcare experience or certifications
  • Life experiences or special circumstances
  • TEAS test scores
